"Oil Crisis?"

Hello there!  I pray that you are doing well in Christ.  We are in Tennessee right now getting ready for our next tour.  Our first night of ministry will be in Woodland Park, Colorado.  After that we fly south and take a boat to Nassau and the Grand Bahama Island where we will be ministering the gospel at public elementary schools there!  Then we fly to Albuquerque, New Mexico and begin our West Coast and Midwest Tour.  We will not be returning home until the day or so before Christmas.  Thank you sooo much for your prayers.  We know that God will prepare the way and make it straight.

There is a new music video on my website called “God of Wonders.” It was taken from a night of ministry we had up in Wisconsin this summer.  You can watch it at the website or go directly to: www.kathleencarnali.com/media.html Background Music Tracks for “Dangerous Prayer” are now available at the website too. : )

If you have been watching the news lately you may have heard or read about the gas crisis here in the South.  Well, I can tell you that it is very real, though it is hard to believe.  Many gas stations here are either completely empty or have long lines of vehicles going down the streets with people desperate for a few drops.  I have never seen anything like it.  Praise God that we already had some gas in our van since we will be leaving soon!  Before I go, here are some very important words that Jesus speaks to us in one of his parables.  May we read it and understand.  (Matthew 25:1-13)

“Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

"The River"

Last night we had an awesome time of ministry at the Jerome County Fair.  We are now three weeks into our tour and are heading to the Boise, Idaho International Airport.  The day before we left for this tour, I had the chance to meet with two sisters in the Lord to fellowship and pray about the ministry that was to come.  At the end of our meeting, one of the ladies had a special word for Brett and I from Ezekiel Chapter 47.  It was about a river, which rose up and brought life wherever it went.  Many trees grew up good and strong around it and there were a multitude of fish of different kinds that came because of the river, and were healed.  She believed we would see this as we went out to minister.  The scripture goes on to say “And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.  Well as you can imagine, this was an awesome piece of scripture for us to leave with.  The next day we left for Ohio to play for a morning worship service and night concert.  The presence of God came in such a powerful way in the morning service that the time of worship extended far beyond normal time.  Then it moved into God’s Word.  The pastor, (which it was his second week of pasturing the church) led us to the chapter that the Spirit had moved him to preach on.  Well out of one thousand and eighty-nine chapters of the Bible, can you guess which one it was?  You guessed it... it was Ezekiel Chapter 47 about the river.  What are the chances?  Brett and I just looked at each other and couldn’t help but laugh and shake our heads.  It is a good feeling to know that God’s Word is true and His Spirit is with you.

So far on this tour, we have been in this river and are seeing trees being strengthened and fishes of all kinds being drawn in and many healed by the blood of the lamb.  It is awesome.  But with this also comes the stones and sometimes boulders that can try to disrupt the flow.  Last week we pulled into a little hotel in Iowa at 4:30am after driving from a concert in IL through intense tornadic conditions.  We arose after a few hours and had a powerful morning service.  After that, I had the chance to speak for about an hour or so on worship and soon after we were back at the church to sound-check for the night concert.  All was going well, we prayed and then it began.  First the tracks wouldn’t play music and then no sound would come through the sounds system.  We finally got some of the instruments and voice to come through the main speakers.  But then there were strange sounds coming through the amps.  We continued to minister and praise God even harder.  All of the sudden, the power went out in the whole building.  Not only at the church, but the whole town went out!  It happened while we playing live guitar and drums to “Remember” so it didn’t affect the song at all, praise God.  After that we lit some candles, I had the shaker, Hans played acoustic guitar, Stevie played the drum and we worshiped God with all we had that night.  It was awesome!!  Satan had no victory.  After we finally came to a close, we packed up everything and headed for the van.  When backing up, something fell from the bottom of the van and hit the ground.  A mechanic from the church was there and he explained to us what it was.  The electric steering locked up and the pulley fell off.  All I can say is, praise God it didn’t happen when we were driving on the highway! He said it was nearly impossible for that piece to come loose by itself.  But it did.  So we ended up having to stay in Iowa until the van could get fixed.  We found out that the area we were in was highly inhabited with a certain religious meditation cult group.  We knew God must have kept us there for a reason.  So the next day we went down town to eat lunch and then witness for Jesus.  In one instance, Brett went into a radio shack and the guy behind the counter looked Brett right in the eye and said, “I am a backslidden Christian,” out of nowhere.  It was crazy.  The Spirit of God was truly with us.  Brett talked with him for a while and then also shared the Gospel of Christ when his co-worker was there.

I have recently put a lot of new pictures up on the website.  There are pics from the recent TV interviews on “Everyday with Marcus & Lisa” and “The Harvest Show.”  If you listen to Way of the Master Radio (Podcasts) you may have heard my testimony on the air along with “Rejoice.” We got to visit Way of the Master Studio’s and meet the host Todd Friell.  It sure was a treat.  You can hear their radio shows at WayofTheMasterRadio.com  There are other wonderful pictures from our travels as well.  As we were leaving our hotel last week, there was a man in the lobby with a baby monkey!!  I even got to hold him! : )  See the pics at: www.KathleenCarnali.com

We are now about to fly to Kansas City, MO.   We’ll be ministering there tonight at the Ozark Empire Fair.  Please keep us in prayer that God will prepare the way, make it straight and many fish of all kinds will be drawn to Him.  God Bless you and may you jump in the river!

All love in Christ Jesus,

~Kathleen

"ONE WAY"

Hello from Nashville, TN! We are now home and preparing for our next ministry tour. I haven’t had a chance to add all of July’s dates to the new calendar yet. But they should be up hopefully by the end of the week. We will be going to IN, OH, MI, IL, IA, MN, WI, MO, KS, TX, and AR. Please keep us in prayer, as we have a lot of ground to cover in the next month and a half.

Speaking of the ‘new’ calendar… We also have a Brand New Website up! The new design is inspired from the title track of my latest CD, “Dangerous Prayer.” Go take a look at:www.KathleenCarnali.com !!

We are in the process of switching over to a new mailing list provider. As you know, we send out an email newsletter once a month letting you know all that is going on with us, and the work of the ministry. Well, this new system will help us get to know you more. You can add information about yourself like your birthday, mailing address, etc… This new provider has some awesome new features that will allow us to keep better contact in the future. For instance, if you add your cell phone#, we can text message you when we are in your area for an event or concert, etc… Pretty cool huh? : )

I am not sure if you heard about the recent pole taken by MSNBC about faith and tolerance in America. It shows that about 57 percent of evangelical church attendees say they believe that ‘many religions’ can lead to eternal life. It goes on to mention other startling statistics as well. I don’t know how accurate these poles are, or if the reality is better or worse than it claims. But it does remind me once again, that the spreading of the saving Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ must be a central part of our walk and witness in this world. It is obvious that there is much confusion about the very foundation on which our faith stands. The bible teaches us that eternal life does not come through a certain religion, paying your tithe, being the best person you can be, feeding the poor, etc… It is only through Jesus Christ who shed his blood for the sins of the world. Jesus said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

To fully understand the Gospel and why it is the Good News, we must first realize that we all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. The Bible says that the penalty for sin is death and that unrighteousness and corruption cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. But God so loved us enough to allow Jesus, a sinless and perfect man, to sacrificially suffer persecution, bare the sins of the world upon him, and die in our place to be our atonement for sin. Why? So the price for our sins would be paid for and we may be reconciled back to the father. We now have peace through the blood of his cross.

(20) “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself… (21) And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled (22) In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblamable and unreproveable in his sight: (23) If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven…” (Colossians 1: 20-23)

We live in a time where evil is called good and good is called evil. Serving God with ones life and following after purity and holiness is laughed at or seen as a ridiculous thought. We are seeing the true Gospel, which is fully centered upon Jesus Christ, being turned into a self-focused gospel to fit one’s own ideas, needs, or desires. God would not have us to be ignorant of these things as it states in 2 Timothy chapter 3:
(1) “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2) For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (3) Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, (4) Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; (5) Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”

How do we have a form of godliness yet ‘deny the power’ of it?? The Bible says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for ‘it is the power of God’ unto salvation to every one that believeth.” (Rom. 1:16) We must never forget that the power unto salvation is the Gospel of Christ. May it continually be upon our lips! It is the very thing that we have been called to go and tell the world about. Not necessarily because it will fix or change this world, but so people will come into repentance and be ready for the next.

(1) “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. (2) In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” – Jesus
(John 14:1-3)

Why is this so important? “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” (Proverbs 23:7)
May we know and be certain of what we believe.

(1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you ‘the gospel’ which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day…” (1 Corinthians 15) Amen!

I love you and hope to see you soon!

"Live in Canada!"

I hope you had a great Memorial Day weekend! Summer has definitely arrived here in the South.  It is getting hot really fast!  We have just returned home from our tour in Florida and Alabama. It was an awesome few weeks and the Holy Spirit was so powerful!  We even got to visit The Holy Land Experience while we were in Orlando.  You can see some pictures of our trip at the website.  If you listened to Christian Music Radio this month, you may have caught my interview on the Radio Show called ‘Total Axxess.’  Also, you can see a new posting of both Brett and I giving our testimonies on the Canadian Television Show, 100 Huntley Street.  It broadcasts nationally across Canada and many parts of the world.  Just go to the Video section of the website.  You can also see the live taping of “Jesus Over Me.”

The music soundtrack for “Go to the Fountain” is now available for download at our webstore along with other background tracks from the ‘Kathleen Carnali’ Album.  We are hoping to have the soundtracks for the new CD ‘Dangerous Prayer’ available soon.

I am now packing up and getting ready to go back on the road tomorrow morning.  The band and I will be back ministering in Alabama and after that we will head up to Georgia.  I am so excited to see what the Lord has planned!

“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Keep your eyes and heart fixed upon Jesus! : )
And may you be thoroughly furnished unto every good work.

I hope to see you soon!

All love in Christ,
~Kathleen

"Amen!"

Hello!  The band and I are now on an airplane flying home to Nashville, TN.  We had an absolutely amazing weekend ministering at the Woman Come Forth conference out in Denver, CO.  God moved in such a powerful way!  He never ceases to amaze me.  Since the release of the new CD we have been on the road seeing many souls come to Jesus.  I can’t even begin to express the excitement I have been feeling as I see God’s hand at work.  Please continue to pray for the work of the ministry.  For we know that we are in a spiritual battle, but the effectual fervent prayers of the righteous avail much!

I am looking forward to returning home for a few days. Once I get a chance to get online I will send this letter out to you.  Looks like it's almost my turn to get a tasty beverage and a bag of pretzels.  I wonder whatever happened to those honey-roasted peanuts they used to give out??  Those were good...

We have had wonderful reviews coming in about the new CD 'Dangerous Prayer' and radio stations have been adding the new single "Just Another Day" like crazy.  Praise God for that.  Also, our record producer Ian Eskelin, just won the Dove Award for Producer of the Year!  Congratulations Ian : )  I also want to thank everyone for their emails asking how to help spread the word about the new album.  At the bottom of the newsletter I listed some radio stations that have already added the new song or may be willing to add it.  So if you ever get a chance to call and request please do.  That helps us so much.

"Let your Anointing Fall" was recently featured in a Holocaust Survivor Documentary entitled "Hole Hearted."  It is about David and Sima Forberg who met 65 years ago in a concentration camp and despite all odds survived and had 63 years of marriage.  I haven't been able to see it yet, but I just heard that it won first place for Best Documentary at the 168 Film Festival.  May God be glorified through it!

This coming weekend, the band and I will be in Kentucky ministering for the Celebrate Recovery Regional Conference, (hosted by K-Love Radio).  After that, we head out to Knoxville, TN.  You can see all the upcoming tour dates and get more information on the Tour Page.  New dates are added weekly.  Hope to see you soon!

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." (Eph. 6:10-20)

Amen!

"CD Release Day!"

Happy CD Release Day!  If you pre-ordered your copy of "Dangerous Prayer," it is now in the mail and on its way!  Our first radio single "Just Another Day" has just been released nationally to Christian Hit Radio. Please help us spread the word by calling your local Christian radio station and requesting the new single!  We have already heard it playing here in Nashville on WNAZ 89.1.

"Dangerous Prayer" just released to iTunes today!  So, you can go there and listen to sample clips of every song, and also buy individual tracks.  We also just heard that our producer on the new album, Ian Eskelin, was just nominated for the Producer of the Year Dove Award for 2008!  You know you have my vote, Ian. : )

Soon we will be heading to PA, and then to NJ, CT and MA.  See TOUR DATES for more info!

This month, as I was reading Chapter 8 of the book of Mark, something stood out to me more so than ever before.  It was in verses 34-35 where it speaks about Jesus saying, "And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall loose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it."  As I read this, I began to think of how easy it would have been for Jesus to just say: "Come and follow me."  But instead, he made it a point to tell us to pick up our cross.  Then, I remembered the story of the rich young ruler who came to Jesus looking to inherit eternal life.  After Jesus answered his questions, he finished his reply with, "Come, Take up the cross, and follow me."  It is clear that this is part of following and serving the LORD.  So lets take the time to examine our own lives, recognize the cross that the Lord has called us to bear, pick it up, and follow him.  One thing I've learned is that through out history the symbol of the cross has always represented death.  But for Christians ironically it is also a symbol of life!  When we live a crucified life and die to our own lusts and love of this world, we can finally know what it is to live and walk freely in Him and his Spirit.  After death comes the resurrection!  "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I now live by the faith of the Son of God, who loves me, and gave himself for me. (Gal.2:20-21)  "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." (Gal.5:1)

Be blessed and encouraged today as you go, pick up your cross and follow Him!

In Christ Jesus,

~Kathleen

"HONDURAS"

Brett and I have now returned back to the USA from Honduras.  It was quite an experience.  The different areas that we traveled to were devastatingly poor.  We had the opportunity to visit so many children and their families as well as the local churches.  It was life-changing to say the least.  We got to see how the Missions organization that we were with fed, clothed, educated and most importantly shared the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.  After having many opportunities to minister to both the super rich and super poor, one realizes that everyone's greatest need goes far beyond our circumstances or social stature.  Jesus is the answer.  This is why we have decided to help Mission of Mercy as best we can to get these kids sponsored.  It is such an open opportunity to provide a brighter future, make a relationship and share the love and truth of Christ.  One of the things that I saw which really impacted me about this particular program was that it utilized the local church.  That was where the children went to receive food, schooling, etc.  So the families were literally seeing the church be the hands and feet of Christ and giving God all the Glory for it!  Another amazing thing to see was that it wasn't only the kids who were being affected for the Kingdom.  Many of their parents and siblings were coming to Christ and in-turn impacting their whole communities!  We have put a place on the front page of our website for anyone who feels the Lord tug on their hearts to help sponsor a child.  "The rich and the poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all." (Proverbs 22:2)  Amen!  You can see pictures of our trip posted on the website! : )

OK, We have finally finished the new CD!  Yaaay!!  It has been sent off to duplication and will be ready for release on March 11, 2008.  You       can pre-order it now at our Web-Store and be the first to have it at your door!

"And whatsoever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:      for ye serve the Lord Christ" (Col. 3:23-24)

God bless and I hope to see you soon!
May you continue to live fully and wholly unto Christ!

All love in Him,

~Kathleen

"Much ahead in 2008!"

Happy 2008!  We find ourselves at the start of a brand new year, which I have a feeling will be quite eventful to say the least.  Brett and I have been in Nashville finishing up the new album and preparing to head back on the road soon.  In about a week from now, we are traveling to Honduras to visit children living in extremely difficult and impoverished areas.  We are teaming up with Mission of Mercy and the local church to minister to the needs of these children.  The goal is presenting the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to them and also providing education and nourishment both physically and spiritually.  Please remember us in your prayers.  We will return to the US on February 7th.

Dates are filling up fast for 2008!  We are now booking for all of this year.  You can email Brett at: Booking@KathleenCarnali.com or call (615) 594-2479 for info.

Starting today you can pre-order the new CD, “Dangerous by going to our Online Store.  Thank you in advance for your pre-orders.  It really helps us get the music out quicker in so many ways.  I also thank you for your prayers that have helped make, protect and bring this CD to life.  It is a loud voice in the wilderness calling to Christians and non alike, to turn to Christ and “Choose this day whom you shall serve”.

I believe this year marks the beginning of a great line being drawn in the sand.  There is no room or time for compromise with sin or the world.  May we turn ‘now’ to the LORD and serve Him fully with our bodies, hearts, minds and souls.  We never know how long we may have to share the Gospel as free and open as we can now.

“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I helped thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)  Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed: but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings; by pureness, by knowledge, by long suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left…”  (2 Cor. 1-7)

God bless, hold fast and stay the course!

Servant of Christ alone,

~Kathleen

"A Sign for Today"

“I wish you a merry Christmas, I wish you a merry Christmas, I wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy New Year!”  Hello from Nashville, TN!  We are finally home and it sure feels good to be back after 3 and a half months.  I pray you are home safe and tucked in your beds (most likely you are - considering I am writing this around 2:00AM CST on Christmas Morning!) : P

(Luke 2: 9-14)

“And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.  And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

After reading this scripture I can’t help but take note of the ‘Sign’ that God told the shepherds to look for, when looking for the Christ child.  “Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”  Though wrapping up an infant was common, Swaddling Cloths themselves were also used to wrap the bodies of the dead.  What a prophetic picture God gave us in the manger scene.  Like the shepherds, let this be our sign today.  Jesus came to earth to die for our sins. That was his purpose.  May we never forget the greatest gift of all time… JESUS.

From our Home to yours - May you be filled with the love, peace, joy and Holy presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I will give more of an update on our travels and ministry in January’s Newsletter.  But for now, be blessed as you celebrate our glorious King!

In His Presence,

    ~Kathleen

Before I go, I want to pray for you…

“Lord, I thank you so so much for my brothers and sisters who are reading this right now.  Bless them abundantly.  May you continue to draw them closer to You.  Even more than ever before, that they would know the depths of your love for them.  Please protect and guide them in every decision, circumstance and thought.  That they would learn to lean on You and not trust in their own understanding.  I pray that we would continue on for your Gospel’s sake and in all things bring honor and praise to Your Holy Name.  I love you Jesus.  I can’t thank you enough for giving us life and redemption from our sins.  -That even while we were in the bondages of our sin, you died and paid the ultimate price for our freedom.  We love you Father.  We thank you and receive what you did for us, knowing that it was something we could not earn, but only accept.  Help us to serve you the way you so deserve -with our whole minds, bodies, hearts and souls.  In Jesus’ Name I pray these thing.  Amen.”

‘But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.  And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.’ (Romans 5:8-11)

All love in
Jesus’ Name,

    ~Kathleen
