Clear the Wasps, Let the Fire Burn!

Wow, so much has happened in this first month of 2018. For us, it began with ministering in South Florida where the power of Christ moved in such an awesome way. There was a man passing by the church during one of the concerts and felt a super strong drawing to come inside. After walking closer, he heard the music coming from the sanctuary and came in to listen. As he did, the Holy Spirit of God began to minister to him powerfully. He then saw my friend who was playing guitar with me on stage and recognized him from many years ago during very dark days. He was blown away to see him up there playing for God and was captivated by the message and power of the music. By the end of the concert, he was with one of the pastors, receiving Jesus for the first time. Another highlight was in Miami with an 85 year old woman. She was invited to come to the concert and had previously stated that she had felt she’d lived a pretty good life here on earth. However, when the music began and power and holiness of God hit the room, she suddenly realized her desperate need for a Savior, and gave her heart and life to Jesus for the first time that night. I am simply overwhelmed with gratitude over the goodness of God and his love for people. At every concert and every event, I have been brought to tears as I literally get to watch God changing peoples lives. After Florida, we went to Louisiana where I was blessed to minister at West Monroe Church, and made life long friends and family there. We then went to Tennessee and had a powerful time of worship with our family at Grace Chapel in New Johnsonville. After that, we landed in Nashville for some recording, and music video shooting. It’s been quite a full month of God moments. Last night we made it to Mercy Street in Clarksville, IN and had a deeply intimate time with the Lord. This coming Sunday morning, we will be in Merom, IN at Highpoint Community Church. Come on out if you are close by! The Lord has been so faithful to show himself strong on our behalf and we are believing God for even greater things as we press further into 2018.

I’m always mindful to be aware, that when the Lord is moving strong, Satan will do whatever he can to stop or hinder the work that God is doing. With every victory that I write to you about, please know that we must face obstacles as well. Just two nights ago we got to Indiana and had to fill up our propane tank so we could have heat. It was about 11:45pm and honestly freezing outside. We finally got the tank filled, but the heat wouldn’t turn on. It only continued to blow out cold air. After trying a few things to hopefully fix it, with no avail, we bundled up with layers of clothes, hats and blankets, and attempted to sleep. The morning finally came and we had to set up for the concert. Brett went to get the RV fixed, but after the concert it stopped working again, which brought us another night of bundling up. Today the RV shop finally found the problem and got it fixed with a hefty price. Some wasps had gotten in and made a nest where the propane fires up and sends heat into the RV. It had to be cleaned out and parts had to be replaced. Thankfully, the work of God was not hindered and we now have heat again in this crazy cold! I ask you all for special prayers concerning us, because the Lord has been doing so much and I know that there will be attempts stop it. And yet, I also know that with the full armor of God, prayer, faith, hope and love, we will withstand the devil, move mountains and take back territory that God has already given us. As will you, my friend! Satan may be at your heals, trying to steal, kill and destroy you and your loved ones… but the victory is not his. It is ours through Christ Jesus! Therefore, don’t let any wasps keep a nest in your heart and stop the flame from burning. Let God remove it, heal and replace it, and let the flame of God burn brighter and more fiery than ever before!

“…thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” -1 Corinthians 15:57-58

All our love forever in Christ,
